FEMININE PARARHYME

(minor accent rhyme)

PreviousFAMILY RHYMENextFINAL SYLLABLE RHYME

Last updated 5 years ago

A two-syllable consonance in which not only the first but also the following two final consonant groupings agree. It has two variations, one where both vowel sounds differ and one where only one of the two vowel sounds differs.

daylight / delete / dull it / deal out

lover / lever / liver / laver

rabbit / rebate / rowboat / rebut

Despite being called feminine this particular agreement in sound can also be achieved by matching two-word phrases consisting of one-syllable masculine words with each other or by mixing them with two-syllable feminine rhyme mates.

For dictionary entries with multiple words Rhyme Genie always matches the final word of the phrase. To find only single words simply deselect the phrases, proper nouns and charted songs options.
